Sakura® Tissue-Tek Glas G2 Automated Coverslipper
Tissue-Tek Glas g2 6500 Automated Coverslipper represents the next generation of traditional glass slide preparation. Delivering up to 420 slides/hour, the Tissue-Tek Glas g2 Coverslipper provides optimal performance while it’s smart, simple design makes it easy to operate. The Tissue-Tek Glas g2 Coverslipper provides automated coverslipping convenience with confidence.
The Sakura® Tissue-Tek Glas g2 Coverslipper has different dispense volumes of mounting medium and coverslipping speeds that can be programmed according to different tissue thicknesses and can be adjusted in real time. The Tissue-Tek Glas g2 Coverslipper has an activated carbon filter that minimizes hazardous fumes.
Features include; an unloading station that accommodates 12 slide baskets (240 slides), continuous loading, low mounting medium alert, slide gripper that accommodates slides with paper labels, programmable drying time, independent operation and loading when linked to the Prisma Stainer, up to 9 programs to accommodate 8 different sizes of glass coverslips, 2 drying fans on top and bottom of slides, and an advanced filtration system for a safe, comfortable environment.
Compatible Solvents that can be used are Xylene, D-Limonene-based substitutes, and Aliphatic-Hydrocarbon-based substitutes.
Compatible Mounting Mediums that can be used are Xylene-based, D-Limonene-based, and Aliphatic-Hydrocarbon-based. For best results, Tissue-Tek® Glas™ Mounting Medium, product code 6419 (500 mL) is highly recommended.
Using the optional Tissue-Tek Glas g2 Link System 6168 you can achieve automation of all tissue operations from staining with the Prisma Automated Slide Stainer 6130 to coverslipping.
Acceptable dimensions for Cover Glass:
- 24 (width) x 40, 50, 55, 60 (length) mm
- 25 (width) x 40, 50, 55, 60 (length) mm
If 25-mm wide cover glasses are used, the system may have to be readjusted.
Thickness: 0.9 to 1.2 mm
