The Shandon Finesse ME’s new, improved blade holder – provides greater versatility, improved productivity, and increased stability. Choose set-ups for standard wax or resin sectioning. The display monitors a range of functions including cutting speed, section count, section thickness and advance distance. Arrow keys control specimen advance and rewind. A selectable retraction feature is included. Instantly switch between TRIM and SECTION settings. Independently selectable trim and section speeds. AUTOLOAD option automatically resets specimen head to a ready position for quickly changing blocks on high-throughput projects. Emergency Stop immediately cuts power to the motor. ROCK option: specimen head advances by a set amount to trim specimens without turning the handwheel through full turns. User selected CUTTING SECTOR control maximizes throughput by allowing the return stroke to be faster than the optimized cutting stroke. 3 cutting modes include continuous cutting. Choose from 11 languages for viewing commands. Wide, curved arm rests. Precision response, free-running, balanced flywheel. Operational from front or side positions. Standby key allows the unit to go into “sleep” mode which saves the customized parameters in memory.

At my time at UCLA’s School of Medicine, as the director of the Microscopic Techniques Core Facility, whenever we had equipment problems, our immediate solution was to “call Paul!” Even when he was servicing other areas, whether it was in Chicago or Hawaii, he would return our calls immediately and set up an appointment. He was always very responsive, timely and reliable. Paul also attends training sessions to make sure he is up to date as new equipment and technology becomes available, but one of his greatest attributes is keeping ancient equipment working perfectly. The scientific community is fortunate that Swerdlick Medical Systems has established itself in our community and that Paul and his staff are available to us. Also, Paul and his staff are fun and easy to work with.

Swerdlick Medical Systems provides outstanding customer service. Their team is very knowledgeable in all aspects of pathology equipment and repair. This company also offers phone support which is extremely helpful in situations when you cant afford to be down. My organization has been using Swerdlick Systems for repair and preventative maintenance for many years and will continue to do so.

Swerdlick Medical Systems is the most honest and reliable company you can trust with any of your laboratory needs when it comes to any lab equipment; Cover slipper, Cryostats, Microscopes, Tissue Processor ETC! Paul and the team are always available when we are experiencing issues with our equipment. Paul offers his assistance AT ANY TIME, so when there's an issue we just call his number and if he can't talk you through something over the phone he or the team comes to the hospital. Very professional, friendly and excellent customer service! Definitely recommend Swerdlick Medical Systems!

If you do not have Swerdlick Medical Systems in your phone directory please take ONE minuet to add contact NOW!! Paul and his team have been my Cryostat savers for the past 10 years. These guys will come to you the next day if you cannot get a fix over the phone. As a Mohs Technician what more could I ask for? Most companies want you to ship off your cryostat to get fixed or wait one week before they can come to you. Not these guys! Thank you, Paul and staff, for your superb service and knowledge. You guys are awesome 🙏

I am a Clinical Engineering Director and have been using Paul and his group for about 10 years now between the 3 different hospital groups I have worked at. He is very professional, the Lab folks always really love him because he doesn't just do PMs and repairs, he talks to them about their equipment performance and how they are using it. He gives them instant feedback on any issues he finds and educates as well if necessary. He really knows what he is doing and enjoys what he does, which shows!
