Introducing the Shandon Citadel 1000 Tissue Processor. The Citadel 1000 is a programmable, carousel tissue processor controlled by means of a hand-held controller unit connected to the processor through a coiled cable. Hence if the processor is located within a fume or safety cabinet, the controller unit is retained outside.
Four twelve-step processing programs can be programmed into the handheld controller, and an electronic timer with a maximum setting in each step of 99 hours and 59 minutes facilitates the running of extended programs (e.g. weekend programs). A facility is also provided which allows a delay to be introduced before the processing schedule begins.
Tissue samples are placed into cassettes which are placed in a random or organizer tissue basket complete with lid and then loaded on the processor. In the standard configuration, ten reagent containers and two independently heated wax baths are filled, as appropriate, and the processor is then programmed to rotate the operating head and lower the tissue basket into each of the containers for a preset length of time. A vacuum can be applied to the final wax bath, when a vacuum unit has been supplied with the processor.
We have several used and refurbished units available for nearly half the price of the original sales prices.
